THE LITTLE BRICOLOS

CREATE WHILE HAVING FUN

#lespetitsbricolos

Registration is open on Balmbooking

The day starts at 9 am and ends at 5 pm. It is organised as follows:

  • In the morning, we work: we cut, saw, drill and screw… and have a small snack.
  • At lunchtime, picnic break: everyone brings their meal and their water bottle, and we enjoy the Bastions park too.
  • In the afternoon, we tinker and play, dividing the group in two if needed.

The children take their creations home at the end of the week. Bring a bag — or even a truck — on the last day. They can make toys (vehicles…), games (trapdoors…), objects (benches, sleds…) and more…

Registration for the week: CHF 580

They trust us

Les Petits Bricolos are regularly involved in “la Bâtie des enfants” and the Mobile and Discovery Workshops of the City of Geneva. Wood workshops are always very popular with children and families. We particularly appreciate the quality of the animation, the creativity of the proposals and the professionalism of Maluen.

We are very pleased with the activity provided. We particularly appreciated how quickly the students got hands-on and were able to perform various tasks (measuring, sawing, drilling, screwing, sanding, etc.). The small-group format—about ten students per 45-minute session—was ideal. It allowed the students to stay fully engaged, with no downtime where they might have lost interest or wanted to stop. We also appreciated the fact that teachers could participate in the activity alongside the students (by handing off the other half of their class to colleagues). This gave us the chance to share a different kind of experience with students who truly thrive in hands-on activities more than in the traditional classroom setting. All the teachers confirmed that the tasks were well-suited to the different grade levels.

My son Nathanaël loved his summer camp with Les Petits Bricolos. He came home every evening full of projects to work on, and on the last day, he proudly showed us his creations—they were magnificent! The Les Petits Bricolos team welcomes children with kindness and professionalism, paying special attention to each child’s individual needs. I highly recommend Les Petits Bricolos workshops to any child who enjoys creating and building in a truly pleasant and welcoming environment.

Ayari Nathanaël’s mum (age 6)

Les Petits Bricolos has really become part of our family! Both my kids have been going to the workshops, and my son is now in his fourth year (and still loving it!). What I love most is the energy Maluen and Rafa bring to everything they do. They’re full of positivity, creativity and great ideas, and have a wonderful way of encouraging the children to be curious, explore, experiment and turn their imaginations into real creations. As a parent, I also really appreciate the care and attention they give to safety. I can drop my son off knowing he’s in safe hands and will have a wonderful time.

Les P’tits Bricolos successfully shared their passion and energy, engaging even the youngest participants. We particularly appreciated their attentiveness to the needs of both the children and ourselves, as well as their ability to adapt to each individual with a friendly, approachable manner.

I manage the Kids Club at La Réserve Genève, and as part of our programme, I have the pleasure of collaborating with Maluen, a provider of woodworking workshops. I highly recommend him for his professionalism, punctuality, and creativity. Fun, entertaining, and responsible, he knows exactly how to captivate children and create a great atmosphere. He brings fresh ideas and new activities to every session, making each workshop unique and consistently popular. A trustworthy, passionate, and highly creative individual whom I recommend without hesitation!

PRESENTATION

Discover the “  little DIY crafts” wood workshops   , an activity where children come and create using their heads and hands.

They will learn by doing , learn with pleasure and learn useful skills for life .

For all children aged 5 to 18, the workshops take place in a friendly atmosphere .

Children can make almost anything they want to make. We are here to guide them towards building their object, and in the end they will be surprised to see what they are capable of.

TESTIMONIALS

Who will be teaching my child?

My name is Raphaël, and I am a facilitator passionate about woodworking as a former carpenter. My wish within Les Petits Bricolos is that each child flourishes by working with wood. Since the end of 2023, when I changed careers, I have been keen to share my know-how with younger children, by offering them fun and educational workshops around wood within Les Petits Bricolos.

Passing on skills and learning: my goal is to arouse children’s interest in manual work while teaching them basic woodworking techniques, in a safe and caring environment. Each workshop is an opportunity to stimulate their creativity while developing their concentration and patience. Whether it is to make small decorative objects or larger projects, I make it a point of honour that each child leaves with something they are proud of, while respecting the necessary rigour and safety.

My workshops are designed to be both serious and fun. My goal is for each child to feel comfortable, while learning at their own pace. I am a caring, dynamic facilitator, and I love seeing children smile and progress. As a former carpenter, I know woodworking and its rigour. This allows me to offer enriching workshops adapted to the age and abilities of the children. My approach is based on listening and adaptation. I make sure to make each workshop accessible, while challenging the children through projects that match their interests.

I look forward to seeing you at Les Petits Bricolos.

Maluen Prunier, called “Malou” by the children, is the founder of Les Petits Bricolos.

From childhood, he did a lot of tinkering with his father. The eldest son of a family of 5 children, he knew very quickly that he would take care of children later.

This passion was confirmed when he became a scout leader and then director of a leisure centre.

After studying to become a sports teacher and having made numerous humanitarian and personal trips, he found himself in Geneva in 2013 where he worked in schools and extracurriculars.

In 2017, he began offering workshops in schools, then neighbourhood centres, extracurriculars, etc.

Today, many children are delighted to participate in these “little crafts” workshops.
